LOCATION

This position is base at Hebrew Home of Greater Washington, located 6121 Montrose Rd, Rockville, MD 20852.

 

OUR LIFESTYLE & LEISURE MANAGER: RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Plan, develop, organize, and evaluate, the activity programs of the facility
  • Develop, administer, and coordinate department policies and procedures.
  • Develop a well-rounded activity program, which engages residents emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually.
  • Perform administrative requirements, such as completing forms, reports and submitting as required.
  • Coordinate outings; including use of the facility transportation
  • Refer resident/families to the appropriate to department to provide good customer service and to meet the needs of the customer.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments
  • Submit work service orders to appropriate departments
  • Conduct interviews for potential employees
  • Provide backup staff in all areas of the job including groups, one to one, special events, trips and luncheons.
  • Be prepared to handle emergencies as they come up (rescheduling work assignments, entertainment, and work schedules)
  • Lead the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of staff for the activity department
  • Delegate administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability to other activity staff as deemed necessary to perform their assigned duties and responsibilities
  • Review and check competence of activity staff and make necessary adjustments as required or that may become necessary

 

SHIFTS & STATUS

Full Time - Salaried

 

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Recreation Therapy or related field.
  • Must have, as a minimum, five (5) years’ experience working in an activities setting with older adults, at least two (2) of which must be in a long term care facility.
  • Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.

VACCINATION POLICY

As a dedicated provider to Senior Living Care our facility requires all hired associates to provide proof of vaccination records, including two doses of MMR, two doses of Varicella, and a Negative TB screen before the start of employment. Another source of documentation that can be accepted is a Titer or Lab test that expresses proven immunity to the following diseases. Upon employment our Talent Acquisition team will provide additional details regarding CESLC vaccination policy.
